The death of Noah Presgrove – accident or something more?

We have learned some new information about the days leading up to Noah Presgrove’s death and wanted to share with you.

The party that Noah had attended right before his death was for a female friend, Avery Jo Combs, who was turning 22. In our first episode, we mentioned that we believed the party was at his best friend Jack’s house because Jack’s dad made a statement about it. It now seems like this was possibly not the case and that the party was held at the female’s home.

Noah’s family have been interviewed on a podcast called The Full Load and a lot of this new info comes from that. Jack has also been talking to the Daily Mail.

The party had been advertised openly on Snapchat and many people were expected to attend.

Noah spent the Saturday at the party (September 2). He went back to his grandmother’s home on the Sunday. We mentioned in our first episode that Noah had emancipated himself from his parents and was living with his grandmother.

Noah had driven his car to the party originally but it was said to be leaking oil. Some people theorize that he drove it back to his grandmother’s house on the Sunday so he could leave it there and not worry about it breaking down later.

Noah went back to the party on Sunday. There are some reports that he got into a fight with his best friend, Jack. Noah had apparently been talking with Jack’s girlfriend, Carter Combs (Avery’s sister) and this resulted in an argument.

‘We argued about girls for a second then ended up holding each other crying telling each other how much we meant to one another,’ Jack later said.

Noah also got into an apparent argument with a 16 year old teen at the party. That person accused Noah of hiding his phone. The teen ‘fish hooked’ Noah and Noah bit his finger. The phone was later found underneath someone who had been sleeping on a couch.

Sunday got wilder as they all continued drinking.

There are varying reports about the UTV accident that we spoke about in the first episode. Some reports say that Jack was in the vehicle with Noah, while others say that Jack was asleep.

This info about the incident is from the Daily Mail:

‘Earlier that night he [was riding in an ATV] and he flipped it but then after that he was just hanging out at the house,’ Stephanie Milan, one of the girls who was there, wrote in a Snapchat message to an inquiring local.

‘Like he turned it on its side but they flipped it back on its wheels.’

But the details, and what happened afterwards, vary wildly depending on who you talk to – some saying it happened about midnight and others at 3am.

Jack, who owned the Polaris Ranger side-by-side, said it had to have happened after he went to bed about 1.50am.

‘I took my keys out of the SxS and apparently Noah came in my room and grabbed them while I was asleep. A bunch of people went and drove the Ranger and wrecked it,’ he told DailyMail.com in an interview.

This is another version of events found online that seems to contradict that though.

Noah and the best friend he had the argument with even drove a John Deere “Gator” UTV “Side by Side” around the property, but stopped when Noah scrapped his hand almost flipping it over. Some people even say that Noah was tossed from the UTV, but he was checked out by a nurse at the party and she said he had nothing to worry about.

I do believe the Daily Mail version is correct as Jack seems to have spoken to them. Unless he is covering up being in the UTV?

After the flipping incident, Noah was said to be dirty and some of the party attendees helped him to shower as he was too drunk to do it himself. Some reports say that Noah was barely coherent while showering.

After the shower, he put on different shorts and no underwear. Noah then asked Avery if he could sleep in her bed and she said no.

After this, Noah left the party. His friends give estimates of the time he left being between 3.15 and 3.30am. Some people also reported that Noah could not find both of his shoes so he grabbed another random one before he took off from the home.

Elisha Lee has spoken about the Hey Dude shoes belonging to her son.

‘The shoes shown on the photo are my sons and on his feet. He had just had ACL and meniscus surgery and was wearing a pink knee brace, as seen on this Snapchat video provided to the OHP,’ she wrote, sharing one of the videos of the night.

‘One of these shoes sits on a shelf in my son’s closet. The other was found on Noah.

‘When my son went to sleep, in this chair that evening, he kicked off his shoes and went to sleep.

‘When he was awoken by the sounds of his friend stating Noah was gone, he found his shoe was missing.’

According to a reddit post about this case, a friend of Noah’s posted a Snapchat at 3.41am.

At 3:41am, a friend of Noah’s, Jasmine, posted a weird Snapchat: a photo of a girl at the party smiling, with the caption “well, Noah’s missing”. This was the last Snapchat posted by any of the partygoers after days of constant videos and pics.

Jasmine later made a post about the Snapchat. ‘I just want to make something clear I posted this picture not knowing that the worst was gonna happen, not knowing Noah would never come back,’ she wrote on Facebook.

‘It was normal for Noah to wonder off nobody thought he wouldn’t be back. So don’t even think for a second just because I posted that means I know what happened to him because I’m just as clueless as everyone else.

Jack has said that after Noah left, his friends did look for him but did not think he was in any danger.

Jack left people take his UTV to look for Noah.

‘They said they took my Ranger to look for him in the ditches and stuff, but knowing Noah he was probably seeing everyone looking for him and was just hiding out.’

Noah’s body was spotted by a semi-truck driver at around 5am. We spoke about Noah’s injuries and the autopsy results in our first episode. Some new information has emerged that indicates that the fingertips on both of his hands were ‘shredded’ down to the bone.

Some reports also indicate that Noah’s shorts were found folded next to him. He was naked except for the two mismatched shoes.

When Noah’s friends were told about his death, Jack called his father Caleb. We spoke about his statement in our first episode. Caleb went to the scene where Noah was found and there were some rumors that he picked up one of Noah’s teeth. Caleb denied that happened.

‘The tooth that was on the road was not moved that I seen. I watched a police officer circle it with white chalk. I pointed out a tooth to the police, I would not have picked that up ever,’ he wrote.

Caleb also later spoke about getting Jack’s ATV back. He stayed at the scene where Noah’s body was for hours until it was cleared and processed and he then went back to the party house.

‘I went to inspect the utv but there were no signs of damage or cleaning it was still very dusty it’s an old utv if it tipped it was minor enough to not leave scratches,’ he wrote.

Clean up at the party house began later that day. Stevie, the mother of Avery (party girl) has spoken about that. Some comments online said there was a ‘strong smell of bleach’ at the home.

She said all they were doing was cleaning up cans and alcohol remnants.

‘It wasn’t like that. It was a bunch of sitting around and crying and I think people were just trying to stay busy,’ Stevie wrote on Facebook.

‘By people I mean parents cause we didn’t know what to do. Not to hide anything but to help our kids. Didn’t know how to help em.’

Caleb said he removed the guns from the house and took them to his house, then ‘later and I got them to their owners’.

Noah’s family claim police told them as there was no evidence linking him to the party house and no evidence of a crime happening at the house. Due to that, they could not get a search warrant.

Others claim though that police were at the home soon after Noah was found and they were even shown where the ATV accident happened, but there was no forensic search undertaken.

Jack sold the ATV in April 2024 so that he could buy a boat.

Jack has recently told friends he is torn between Noah being hit in the back of the head by a passing truck’s mirror or falling, or being pushed, out of a pickup truck.

Suspect in the latter include a group of party guests Noah’s friends called the ‘Texas boys’, who were friends of friends and not well known by the core group.

‘I’m 50/50 between a semi and the Texas boys… maybe Noah asked them for a ride or something… but even if something happened with them it was accidental,’ he wrote.

‘But man I just can’t see any kids accidentally killing someone and not calling for help.’

Jack elaborated to DailyMail.com that he didn’t believe they had any reason to kill him or cover up his death.

‘Those were good kids too, if that’s what happened they would have called and tried to get help for him. They didn’t really know Noah so they wouldn’t have beef with him,’ he said.
